Loyalty Rewards Change

We have always had a loyalty reward system in place for our regular clients to say thank you for using our services.

This has always been stamps on the back of our business cards, which often meant people losing them or forgetting to bring them in. With the implementation of our new software we are now able to track these points in a much better way.

We will no longer be using business cards to track our loyalty system.

All records will now be maintained on our computer system and we can inform you once you have enough points available to be redeemed. Points are earned from any of our full priced services - baths (excludes our express wash on Saturday's), Tidy Ups and Full Body Clips for dogs and cats.
Points will be able to be redeemed for a $ amount that can be used towards a purchase of any products in the store.

Any stamps on a current card that haven’t been redeemed will be credited onto your account and we will give you one of our new business cards (which we think look fantastic!).

Nose 2 Tail feature video for the Courier Mail

As part of our feature in the Sunday Mail's U on Sunday magazine, a video was made of the grooming session we did with Willy. Willy is the much loved furry member of our friends from Zoo Studio and he comes in for grooming every 6 weeks. He was really great for the groom (as always) and was a true star for the day.

Below is the video and it shows what we do when a cat comes in for a groom, including a de shed treatment which helps remove the excess hair that sheds all over the house!

Nose 2 Tail features in the Courier Mail

On Sunday the 10th of June 2012, we were featured in the Sunday Mail's U on Sunday magazine. This story was a follow up from the week before where they featured dogs as pets.

This was a great opportunity for us to talk about cats, their qualities as pets and the benefits of regular cat grooming for their health and well being.
We were really excited to have Samson on the front cover AND in a full page at the end of the article. It tool a while to get that shot, but it is perfect!

We were also excited to see that on of our regular clients - Amanda with Box and Lilly, were also part of the story. We see Box every month for her grooming and love to see her transformation each time.

Thanks to Leanne Edmistone for choosing us to be a part of the story and Mark Cranitch for taking some great photos for the article.

We hope that those who have read the feature see that cats are great options for pets and they bring so much fun, laughter and joy into the lives of their families.

The article is below and you can click on each page to read it. Please tell us your thoughts on cats and cat grooming too :)

Why we are phasing out pork in our store.

Pig ears, pig noses, pig trotters etc most people don't consider where these products have come from.
I have seen many documentaries on the way animals are raised for meat and it can be quite upsetting. We have come to the belief that meat should be cheap, but do we consider the real costs in having such cheap meat?
Living conditions of the animals, the unnatural food they are fed, antibiotic growth promoters used, chemicals and quality of life are some major costs to the animals and also those consuming them. These don't seem to be very important in the big scheme of things when there is a $ to be made.
Recently it has been playing on my conscience that by providing these by products within our store, we are supporting the conditions that these animals are kept in. I personally don't eat any pork products for a number of reasons, but feel that if people choose to eat it or feed it to their pets they should know how it gets to them. There should also be an option to support other more sustainable farming options.
We will be phasing out all pork products from our store and are in discussion with an organic pork farmer to hopefully be able to offer organic air dried pork treats in the future. We want to support these companies that are working hard to make a change, but we also want to bring awareness to the industry that will hopefully end in change! Things wont change overnight, but if we all make small changes with the choices we make, this can lead to changes in the future.

These images may cause people some distress, however I think it is important that we know how the food we eat is produced.
