Thailand Orphanage Fundraiser

On November 28 a team of 15 from Kenmore Baptist Church are heading to Thailand for 3 weeks of volunteer work. During that time the team will be helping out in 3 orphanages - House of Hope (Mae Hon Song), Shalom Home (Chiang Rai) and Hope House (Chiang Mai). The children in these homes have all lost one, or both parents to Aids. KBC has developed close ties to these children over the past 5 years.
Each year KBC fundraise to help out with the basic necessities of school books, uniforms, pencils and also to "spoil" the children with a Christmas Present. The team are aged 17 through to 60! Some of team are year 12 students who are choosing to do this volunteer work instead of going on "schoolies".
On Saturday 24 October, Nose 2 Tail Pet Care will be helping with the fundraising effort by donating 100% from all dog washes between 1.30-4.30pm to the orphanages. Also 10% of any purchases made in store during the same time, will be donated to the cause. Thailand Team member and Vet Shane Barrington, will also be on hand to answer questions and clip nails. All money raised will go directly to the Thai people.
Dog washes are $12 with a towel dry, $14 with a partial blow dry.
Come along and join in the doggy fun and help raise money for the beautiful children of Thailand. If you don't have a dog, please tell people who do!!
